Dear Parents,
In August we will be getting a new gym floor. It will be poured over the existing floor. The school board has visited many schools where new floors were laid over the older existing one and found a company that had very good review. However, this floor will require cooperation on all our parts. The school board will post a set of required rules for admittance into the gym area. Basically, shoes will be the main prohibitor. Any shoe that leaves scuff marks or imprints (ex: high heels) will not be allowed into the gym. Also, during bad weather, the children will be going to the classrooms in the morning instead of to the gym.
We want to maintain this floor to the best of our capabilities and ask that you all cooperate and support this both during school time and at after school activities.
