Library News (New Students)

Welcome to SSPP school library! Below are just a few “rules” that we have in place so everyone can enjoy using the library all year long. Please sign the attached form and have your student return it to the library.

BORROWING BOOKS

**Students may borrow one library book a week.

**Students must return their library book on their scheduled library day. If a student does not return a book, they may not borrow another one until they return the original.

**Students may renew a library book as long as they have it with them.

**A note will go home if a book is 4 weeks overdue.

**Magazines are for “in school” use only.

Lost or damaged books

**If a book is lost or damaged the student must replace it with a new book.

**All books must be replaced in a timely manner.

**Every attempt must be made to purchase the exact book the student lost or damaged. If the exact book cannot be found, then a new book similar to the one lost/damaged will be accepted.

**If a hardcover book was lost/damaged, then it will need to be replaced with a new hardcover book. If a paperback book was lost/damaged it will need to be replaced with a new paperback book.

BEHAVIOR

**It’s simple – respect each other & the adults in the room.

NOTES HOME

**If a note (overdue book notice, behavior notices, etc) is sent home, it is up to the student to return it the very next school day. Otherwise a detention will be given.
